The tournament in doubles continues. Three matches in doubles of WTA Baltic Open 2019 took place on the 5th and 7th court.
On the 5th court Ana Bogdan from Romania and Isabella Shinikova from Bulgaria stepped out against the Georgian Oksana Kalashnikova and the Japanese Ena Shibahara – 2/6, 2/6. The match lasted 49 minutes. Both pairs committed three double faults. In the next round the Bogdan and Shinikova will take on v. Sharon Fichman and Nina Stojanovic.
On the 7th court the Russian duo Yana Sizikova and Anastasia Potapova, who've just won the WTA title in doubles in Lausanne, clinched victory over Valentyna Ivakhnenko from Russia and Anna Danilina from Kazahstan – 6/2, 2/6, 10-8. Potapova and Sizikova manged to save 3 out 7 break points, while their opponents could save only 1 out 5.
