PLAYERS' PARTY: IT TAKES SUNSET

On the veranda of the "36th line" restaurant with access to the white sandy beach of the Baltic Sea, the players' party of the international tennis tournament WTA Baltic Open 2019 was held. The raging sea against a sunset - on the one side, a calm and picturesque pine forest - on the other, such views left no one indifferent.

The evening was opened by the charismatic host Aivis Cerins, who will be remembered by the guests for his bright dances. Then he invited music band "The Kruasans" to the stage. The group has performed in its arrangement several famous world hits of various genres. The soloist of the music band Diana Pashko amazed the guests with her deep and soulful voice.

Towards late evening the Baltic Sea was seized by a storm, but this did not affect the warm atmosphere of the holiday. The tournament director of the WTA Baltic Open 2019, Alexander Ostrovsky, delivered a welcoming speech: "There are no words to fully describe the emotions that we are experiencing now. We have an incredible atmosphere at our tennis festival, and I am sure that you will really like everything that we have prepared for you, and you will enjoy this week. I would like to express special gratitude to our team, which did an incredible job during the week of the preparation and long before that. Welcome to Jurmala! Welcome to Latvia!"
After these words, nature seemed to be imbued with the hospitality of the tournament's organizers — the sea calmed down, and out of the leaving clouds the sun peeped out. Despite a little drizzling rain, all the players went to an open veranda to capture photos of this colorful sunset.

But the surprises did not end there. The fire virtuoso collective Pulse Effect performed a fire show, sparking bright patterns against the twilight sky. The final chord of the event was a bright and large-scale salute on the Baltic coast in honor of the start of the Baltic Open 2019 - the first WTA level tournament in Latvia.
